On July 10, at 8:26 p.m., the Rescue Service “101” received a report about a fire in the city of Vinnyki on the street. Kiltseva, 2, Lviv district. The fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor of a five-story residential building.
The fire department of the city of Vinnyki was sent to the scene of the incident.
As it turned out at the scene, at the time of the fire, the owner of the apartment – a man born in 1982 – was in the apartment.
Firefighters, with the help of a retractable ladder through the window, began to put out the fire, in parallel, work was carried out to open the door to the apartment with the help of a hand tool.
During the reconnaissance, the rescuers found the owner in the room on the sofa. The man was conscious, but could not leave the apartment on his own. So, the firefighters took the man out of the dangerous apartment, filled with toxic smoke, into the fresh air and handed him over to the medical workers. After medical examination, the victim was hospitalized with a diagnosis of poisoning by combustion products in the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital.
Thanks to the timely involvement of forces and means, it was possible to promptly eliminate the fire and prevent the fire from spreading. At 8:37 p.m., firefighters localized the fire, and at 8:39 p.m., it was extinguished by the gas and smoke protection service unit. As a result of the fire, household items on an area of 2 square meters were destroyed by fire.
6 personnel and 1 unit of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The causes and circumstances of the fire are established by law enforcement agencies.
