In Chervonograd, public discussions were held regarding the dismantling of elements of Soviet symbols

On March 19, public hearings were held at the Chervonograd Public Library to resolve the issue of the presence of monuments and symbols with elements of the Soviet era, communist and totalitarian regimes on the territory of the city of Chervonograd.

During the discussions, the participants of the event made their list of appeals and proposals to the executive committee of the Chervonograd City Council, in particular:
▪️ to initiate the procedure of removing the cultural heritage object of Ukraine “Brother Grave of Soviet Soldiers” (actually a memorial sign) from the state security register with its subsequent dismantling (Lvivska St.);
▪️ to consider the possibility of dismantling the memorial plaques and ceiling of the “Eternal Flame” memorial complex (Ivasyuka Street); ▪️ remove the graphic composition “Olympics-80” from the wall of the Children’s and Youth Sports School No. 1 (Klyusivska St.);
▪️ leave the object of the memorial table “Prykordonna Zastava” unchanged (Lvivska St.).
