At the end of September, the first Swiss trams will arrive in Lviv, which have been operating there for 30 years

The first of 11 Swiss Vevey trams is expected to be delivered to Bern at the end of September. In the meantime, BERNMOBIL held a sentimental farewell ceremony for the Vevey trams – “TschüssVevey, mach’sguet!” (Goodbye Vevey, all the best to you!).

This was reported by Lvivelectrotrans.

“Vevey Be 4/8 trams have shaped the federal city for more than thirty years. The eleven vehicles still in service are going on their farewell tour until around the end of 2024, making way for 27 new tram lines from Stadler Rail. On 24 August (Ukraine’s Independence Day), they were all located in the Bolligenstrasse tram depot, just as they were 30 years ago. In 1990, when the trams were new, they were still green…” – Bernmobil said in an official statement.

Everyone could see and take pictures of the city’s iconic trams.
