Firefighters eliminate fire on the roof of a three-storey brick building in Stryi district
On 19 July, at 00:32, the Rescue Service “101” received a report of a fire in Morshyn on Ivan Franko Street, Stryi district. The fire broke out on the roof of a three-storey brick building covered with tin, measuring 65×11 metres.
Rescuers from Morshyn and Stryi arrived at the scene.
Due to the heavy smoke, the firefighters had to work in special respiratory and eye protection devices.
At 01:35, firefighters localised the fire and extinguished it at 02:31.
A total of 14 rescuers and 4 units of special equipment were engaged in the firefighting operations.
The causes and circumstances of the fire are under investigation.
