The rescuers of the Main Directorate of the Lviv State Emergency Service warn to observe the rules for using portable lighting devices.
Yesterday, February 7, around 8:20 p.m., the rescuers received a report that in Lviv, on the street Syhivska, 10, in one of the apartments, the rechargeable battery in the LED lamp broke.
As a result, the woman, born in 1986, received superficial damage to the cornea of the eye, after a medical examination, the woman refused to be hospitalized.
The rescuers of the Lviv region once again warn to follow the recommendations when using portable lighting equipment:
Buy only certified products.
Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Do not allow the lanterns to fall or get wet.
You cannot put the lantern on charge unattended or at night.
Do not use non-original or damaged chargers. Periodically check the temperature of the battery. It can be warm, but not hot.
Also, the battery can overheat due to external influences, for example, being near the stove, it can heat up and explode.
