Five entrances of a high-rise building in Sheptytske lost power due to arson in the basement

On Saturday, 28 September, as a result of residents’ careless use of a mercury thermometer, Chervonohradzhytlokomunservis specialists were working to eliminate the effects of spilled mercury.

This was announced during a meeting by Yuriy Kukoba, head of Chervonogradzhilokomunservis.

Also, on 30 September, another emergency situation occurred in our city.

Unidentified persons set fire to the basement of a residential building at 11 S. Bandera Street, which resulted in the failure of power supply cables and left five entrances of the high-rise building without electricity. The utility company managed to restore power supply to three stairwells on the same day, and two more were reconnected the next day.

According to First Deputy Mayor Dmitry Balko, almost the entire nine-storey apartment building was without power, and thanks to the efficiency of the utility companies and the proper work of the power supply services, it was restored.
