A man suffered burns in a fire in Sheptytsky district

On 6 December, at 23:36, the Rescue Service 101 received a report of a fire in the village of Dmytriv, Sheptytskyi district.

The fire broke out in a brick outbuilding covered with tin, measuring 11×6 metres.

Professional rescuers from Radekhiv and employees of the local fire brigade from the village of Vuzlove were sent to the scene. When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the roof covering and ceiling of the building were on fire over the entire area and the hay in the attic was burning.

At 01:01 on 7 December, firefighters localised the fire and extinguished it at 02:11.

As a result of the fire, the owner of the building, a man born in 1957, suffered thermal burns of the upper extremities and was hospitalised at the Radekhiv Central District Hospital.

Three rescuers and 1 unit of special equipment from the State Emergency Service and 2 men and 1 unit of special equipment from the local fire brigade were involved in the firefighting operations.
