Starting tomorrow, dogs and cats will be vaccinated against rabies free of charge in Lviv’s Franko Park

From 11 to 13 November, free rabies vaccination for pets will be held in Ivan Franko Park, at the walking area.

Residents are invited to bring their cats and dogs for vaccination every day from 15:00 to 17:00.

As a reminder, due to the detection of rabies in a pet dog, the city has introduced a plan to eliminate this disease. Therefore, Lviv City Council, together with the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Lviv Oblast, will continue to provide free rabies vaccination for pets in the Lviv City Territorial Community.

“According to the action plan for the elimination of rabies in the Lviv city community, all veterinary clinics are prohibited from accepting unvaccinated animals and performing any manipulations other than rabies vaccination,” the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection said.

Therefore, citizens are urged not to neglect the health of their pets and their own and to vaccinate their pets in time.

Specialists of the Lviv City State Hospital of Veterinary Medicine will be vaccinating animals in Franko Park for three days in specially equipped mobile veterinary stations in compliance with safety requirements.

To participate in the vaccination, it is recommended to pre-register here.
