Indoor heating systems of 1,394 residential buildings in Lviv are already filled with water

Lviv is preparing for the heating season of 2022-2023. The signing of acts of readiness of buildings for winter and filling of heating networks and indoor heating systems with water is already underway. As of today, indoor heating systems are filled with water in 1394 houses. This is 65% of the total number of houses with central heating.

“In order to avoid problems with the supply of heating, we started gradually filling the heat networks and indoor heating systems with water. This year we started the process a little faster. This allows you to unload the work, and if any damage is detected in the indoor systems, it will be possible to eliminate them.

In order to fill the indoor system with water, it is necessary that the house is technically ready. This is evidenced by the signed act of readiness of the house for winter.

Therefore, we appeal to building owners (managing companies, condominiums, housing associations, etc.) to ensure the technical readiness of buildings for the heating season, because in the absence of an act of readiness, it will not be possible to supply the heating medium to the house, “Lvivteploenergo LMKP said.

As a reminder, Lviv is preparing for various scenarios of the heating season. Variants of ensuring the life of the city have been worked out, subject to the availability and absence of gas, electricity and other resources, damage and failure of heat, electricity and water supply systems.

Accordingly, the areas of responsibility are divided: what the city must provide, what the balance-keepers of the building provide – management companies, condominiums, etc., and what residents must prepare.

Therefore, the city is working on:

– transfer of the capacities of boiler plants, CHP-1 and shopping center “North” to alternative types of fuel;

– installation of heat pumps in district boiler houses;

– readiness to deploy points of heating people in designated locations;

– forming a reserve stock of spare parts and materials to eliminate emergency situations;

– creation of additional 17 emergency brigades that will be on duty in the city and will eliminate emergency situations;

– purchase and preparation of firewood;

– formation of salt and sand reserves.

Instead, balance holders of buildings, which are management companies, condominiums, condominiums, etc., are recommended to:

– insulation of buildings, in particular glazing of windows on stairwells, insulation of basements and attics;

– create a stock of materials and products;

– form mini-emergency teams;

– to form a reserve of salt and sand;

– by the beginning of winter, bring all the engineering networks in the houses into proper condition;

– bring the shelter into proper condition;

– create schedules for alternating use of electricity for all apartments in the building (to be used as needed);

– to prepare firewood.

On this occasion, numerous meetings have already been held with managers of management companies and heads of condominiums.

“The habit of consuming energy resources must be changed – everyone must understand that it is necessary to save heat and electricity. Especially now. Therefore, even before the onset of cold weather, our residents should buy warm clothes and insulate their homes. We recommend insulating windows and doors, checking the condition of stoves and fireplaces. After all, in the absence of heating and electricity, every degree will matter.

Therefore, in preparation for winter, everyone should prepare their accommodation at their own level”, – emphasizes Iryna Marunyak, deputy mayor of Lviv for housing and communal services.
