Fire in the Village of Vovkiv: Rapid Actions by Rescuers
On February 27 at 13:56, a report of a fire in the village of Vovkiv, Lviv district, was received by the Rescue Service “101”. The fire occurred in a brick utility building, covered with slate, with dimensions of 15×5 meters.
Rescuers’ Rapid Response
Rescue teams from the cities of Peremyshlyany and Bibrka promptly arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, the firefighters found the roof of the building, the wooden ceiling, and hay in the attic on fire. There was a threat of the fire spreading to nearby buildings.
By 15:29, firefighters localized and by 15:59 extinguished the fire. The rescuers managed to prevent the rapid spread of the fire and save the utility building and residential house from being destroyed by the flames.
