Fire in Honyatychi: Rescuers Prevented Fire Spread
On February 4 at 14:58, the Rescue Service ‘101’ received a report about a fire in the village of Honyatychi, Stryi District. The fire broke out in a wooden residential building with a slate roof, measuring 8 × 10 m.
Rescuers’ Prompt Actions
Rescuers from the town of Mykolaiv were dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, thick black smoke was seen billowing from the windows of the building. By 15:15, the emergency responders had localized and by 15:51 extinguished the fire on the roof of the building over an area of 60 sq.m. and household items over an area of 20 sq.m.
Rescuers managed to prevent the rapid spread of the fire and saved three nearby residential houses and two outbuildings.
