Internally displaced persons are employed in the settlements of Lviv MTG

Ukrainians who are forced to flee the war to safer regions of the country are gradually recovering from their experiences and thinking about their future in Ukraine. Some migrants go abroad, others find work in communities where they have been granted shelter.

In particular, about 200 IDPs live in Zashkov, all in the private sector. For many of them, this community is only a temporary resting place to move on. There are also those who plan to return to their hometowns after the victory.

“Mrs. Marina and her 4-year-old son came to Zashkov from Irpen. The woman’s husband is at war. In Zashkov, she has been working as the head of the post office for several weeks. Due to the war, this position in the community was vacant. The former headmistress went abroad with her children during the war.

In Dubliany, one of the IDPs got a job at a branch of Nova Poshta, and two others work as couriers in the Glovo delivery service. The men came from Mariupol and Sumy. There are similar stories in most communities, “said the department of the city agglomeration of LMR.

It will be recalled that the Center for Support of Internally Displaced Ukrainians, which cooperates with the regional employment center, is open to those wishing to find work on the territory of Lviv MTG.

Address of the Center – st. Knyazya Romana, 6, contact phone number: +38 050 555 44 61.

They are open from 10:00 to 18:00 on Mondays and Fridays. On Saturday – from 11.00 to 17.00. Sunday is a day off.

Recently, the Center’s staff has also been organizing a reception for migrants.

It should be added that currently more than 5,000 officially registered IDPs live on the territory of Lviv MTG.
