In the conditions of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the issue of security on the Internet is especially urgent, because the enemy is attacking on all fronts, in particular – on the virtual one.
As told in Lviv OVA, to protect Internet accounts, it is necessary to use complex passwords that contain upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.
Do not set the same password for multiple accounts. Set up two-factor authentication wherever possible. Then, to log in to the account, in addition to the login and password, you need to enter a confirmation code that comes to your phone, email or in the corresponding application.
Phishing is used by attackers to obtain valuable data, including bank card data.
Do not follow dubious hyperlinks, because they may be a phishing resource. Carefully review the URL of the desired site, any inaccuracy may indicate that you are on a phishing site. Never enter sensitive data on suspicious sites.
It is extremely important to take care of the protection of the financial number.
It is necessary to prohibit the remote reissuance of the SIM card from the mobile operator or switch to contract service. Download programs and applications only from official sources. Use antivirus software. Update your operating system on time.
In order not to fall on the hook of fraudsters, experts recommend:
– trust only official resources;
– do not enter payment card details on unfamiliar and suspicious websites;
– in case of erroneous data entry on a fraudulent website – immediately block the payment card;
– make backup copies so as not to lose important information;
– follow the rules of financial and cyber hygiene.
