Since the beginning of the year, more than a hundred residents of the region have suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning

Since the beginning of 2022, 53 accidents have been registered in the Lviv region, as a result of which 126 people were injured by carbon monoxide poisoning, including 44 children. Eleven people died, including 3 children

According to the analysis, most accidents related to carbon monoxide poisoning occur due to violations of the safe operation of gas appliances and furnace heating, unauthorized interference of gas equipment owners in the gas supply system and gas appliances, faulty flue and ventilation system.

“Remember that everyone should be responsible for the safe handling of gas in the home, because it can affect not only themselves but also relatives and friends, neighbors,” – said in the department.

However, residents of Lviv region are advised to closely monitor the operation of gas equipment in homes and at the slightest sign of problems to contact the emergency service at “104”.
