During the war, more than 90,000 Ukrainians received medical care in Lviv

Ukrainians who were forced to move from their hometowns to Lviv because of the war receive shelter and help here, including medical care. During this time, more than 90,000 Ukrainians have already received treatment and consultations.

“We work hard to provide medical assistance to forcibly displaced people. This includes emergency care, prevention, and routine vaccination of children. Also, help to children, women and women in labor, help to all who need it”, – notes the head of the health care department of the Lviv City Council, Lesya Kobetska.

Thus, during the war, 5,595 forcibly displaced Ukrainians were hospitalized in Lviv hospitals with various injuries and wounds (218 people are currently being treated, others have already been discharged). 66,188 Ukrainians applied for outpatient care at polyclinics, of which 9,779 were children, 2,227 were pregnant women. Mobile teams at the points of registration and temporary stay provided assistance to 19,039 people.

We will remind you that the first national rehabilitation center “Unbroken” (UNBROKEN) will be built in Lviv, where more than 50 thousand Ukrainians will be able to receive physical, psychological and social rehabilitation every year. The patient will not only receive a prosthesis here, but will also successfully return to a full life.

The first financial donors have already joined the project: ATB, Symfony Solutions, Space Art, PZU Ukraine Group and the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine. On the day of the project’s presentation, patrons collected more than 2 million euros. In July, a town for pregnant displaced women “Unbreakable Mothers” was opened as part of the ecosystem. Mothers with children who fled the war to Lviv already live here.
