On December 26, at 5:07 PM, the Rescue Service “101” received a report of a fire in the village of Pidkamin on Pekarska Street, Zolochiv District. The fire broke out in a brick residential house covered with slate, measuring 8×6 meters.
Upon the arrival of the firefighters, household items were burning over an area of 20 square meters, and the ceiling was affected over an area of 0.5 square meters. Due to heavy smoke, the rescuers had to work using special respiratory and vision protection equipment.
The fire posed a threat to nearby buildings. However, thanks to the prompt actions of the firefighters, the fire was localized by 5:43 PM and fully extinguished by 5:57 PM.
The rescuers prevented the rapid spread of the fire and saved the residential house, a nearby garage, and a utility building from destruction.
