The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education and Science have increased the amount of educational subvention for Lviv region for December 2022.
This is due to the fact that at the end of the year, several communities of the region do not have enough financial resources to pay for the work of teaching staff.
In particular, the volume of educational subvention for December 2022 was increased due to the redistribution of educational subvention expenses between local budgets in the amount of UAH 13.4 million, namely, UAH 12.3 million was transferred from the regional budget and UAH 1.13 million to two territorial communities.
Despite this, the finance department of the Lviv OVA emphasizes that local authorities need to intensify work on the formation of a rational network of educational institutions and effective use of financial resources. Only under these conditions, the communities will not bear the additional financial burden for the timely payment of salaries to pedagogical workers and will have the opportunity to direct free budget funds to the development of their territories.
