A simulation game “Safe Community” was held for teachers in the Drohobytskyi City Library

On October 18, 2023, in the Drohobytsk city library named after V. Chornovola, the director of the Center for Social Development of the DMR, Halyna Marchuk, and the center’s psychologist, Nataliya Svoikina, conducted a simulation game “Safe community” for thirty teachers of the Drogobytsk urban territorial community. The event was held within the framework of the project “Pro.Communities: a safe and favorable environment for children’s learning”, which is aimed at the development and support of educational managers and teachers in communities during the crisis. The project is implemented by the public organization “Center for Innovative Education “Pro.Svit” with the support of U-Lead with Europe. As part of the implementation of the project, on October 5, 6, 7, 2023, training was held according to the “Safe Community” training program. This time, the trainers were able to reach a wider circle of educators from among class leaders and teacher-organizers.

The game was held with the aim of actualizing security issues, deepening understanding of this topic, awareness of the importance of the formula “Safe environment + safe adult = safe child”. Teachers received a new, clear and interesting tool that they can use in their work with colleagues, parents and students.
