The communities of Lviv Oblast received 7 more “Shkolaryk” buses

Two buses are specialized, so they will transport students with disabilities.

Another 7 school buses were handed over today for the needs of communities in the region. In particular, buses went to Gnizdychev, Kozyova, Novy Rozdol, Sokal and Chervonograd (one bus for each community) and two specialized buses – to Przemysl and Pidkamen.

Ivan Sobko, the deputy head of Lviv OVA, handed over the keys and documents to community representatives today.

“We thank all the communities that joined the co-financing and provided students in schools with a comfortable commute to study. Together with you and with the support of the state, we managed to close the need for school buses for the time being,” said Ivan Sobko.

The new transport will replace those “Schoolboys” that were handed over to the needs of the Armed Forces, as well as those whose service life is coming to an end. The buses were manufactured at the Cherkasy Bus Plant. Each bus is designed for 30 passengers.

We will remind you that “Students” were purchased with the co-financing of an educational subvention from the state budget, the regional budget, and the funds of territorial communities. Thus, this year Lviv OVA purchased 70 buses with the indicated funds, 47 of which (including today’s transfer) have already been received by communities and separate educational institutions of the region. Last year, it was possible to purchase 126 buses. Read more about the terms of this year’s procurement here – https://loda.gov.ua/news/75548

“We are trying to provide all communities of Lviv Oblast with new school buses. We expect a new batch of “schoolchildren” this week. All of them are Ukrainian-made,” added Orest Shulikovskyi, director of LOVA’s road management department.
