Preparations for the new school year continue in Drohodymyr during power outages

The education department has an important task to analyze the available data on all educational institutions in the community and identify the hub institutions that will be able to provide uninterrupted power supply in case of prolonged power outages in the community.

As of today, the situation in the country’s energy system has stabilized, but according to Ukrenergo, the deficit in the country’s energy system is likely to resume again in the fall, and blackouts will be inevitable.

Lack of power supply can negatively affect the educational process. Therefore, the task of the Education Department is to provide maximum opportunities for full-time education of schoolchildren and uninterrupted operation of preschool institutions – with heating and hot meals.

By the way, this year Drohobych community will have 11,834 students. Of these, 505 students are IDPs. For the first time this year, 1,000 first-graders will sit down at their desks on Knowledge Day.

As for the pre-school institutions of the Drohobych community, 2,581 children are enrolled in them, including 135 internally displaced persons. The community’s out-of-school education institutions cover more than 3,000 children in the educational and creative process.
