The youth of Lviv region are invited to the camp “Ascent on Makivka Mountain”

Anyone between the ages of 9 and 16 can become a participant.

In May, the Ukrainian Youth Organization “Heritage” with the support of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv OVA will hold an annual patriotic camp dedicated to the memory of the heroic battle of the Ukrainian Sich riflemen.

The camp “Takeoff on Makivka Mountain” will take place from May 11 to 14. Anyone between the ages of 9 and 16 can become a participant. The program, first of all, will be aimed at acquainting the youth with the activities and history of the Ukrainian sniper rifle, and the main purpose of the trip is to solemnly honor the fallen soldiers at the pantheon.

“Every year our trip to Makivka symbolizes the opening of the season of tent camps, but in fact the value of this camp is much larger, it is in the tradition, because for more than 30 years we have been honoring the heroes of Makivka here. In such a critical time as now, it is critically important to remember our history, to spread it, to introduce it to the new generation. Makivka is a place of history. Here, without exaggeration, you become a part of this history,” said one of the organizers of the camp, Yulian Gonchar.

Various master classes, classes, a large sports and historical quest, an evening game, singing by the fire, new acquaintances and adventures await the campers. You can find out more details and become a participant of the camp by following the link.

The project is implemented with the support of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv Oblast within the framework of the project competition of the “Youth of Lviv Region” program. This year, 52 tender proposals from 26 public organizations were submitted to the competition for youth projects. Based on the evaluation results, 19 public organizations implementing 24 projects were identified as winners.
