The Youth Summer School “Together to Success” from the International Organization for Migration has started in Lviv Oblast

23 participants from different regions of Ukraine joined the training.

On July 10, the Youth Summer School “Together to Success” started in Lviv Oblast. It was organized for active youth from among forced migrants from all over Ukraine and leaders of youth public organizations.

The summer school will last five days, during which participants will have the opportunity to learn more about safe migration, anti-trafficking, cultural diversity, civic responsibility and leadership, as well as improve their leadership and communication skills.

“It is important that active Ukrainian youth have a platform where they can exchange ideas and work together on cool projects in the social sphere. The state must develop, and the driver of this development is our youth. Step by step, we will rebuild a strong, free country, for which our defenders are fighting today, but it is necessary to start small – with correct, balanced thoughts and ideas, and then actions. We thank our partners who share democratic values with Ukraine and help implement a wide variety of projects. But even more, we thank our conscious youth. You are our bright future!” – remarked Ivan Sobko, deputy head of Lviv OVA.

23 participants from Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kyiv, Kherson, Kirovohrad, Ternopil and Chernihiv regions joined the training.

“We found out about the summer school from social networks. We decided to apply and, to be honest, we did not expect that we would pass the selection. Arrived here, have already made friends with many participants. We are studying in the first year of the State University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, so we are most interested in the topic of combating human trafficking,” said Tetyana and Tamara, participants of the “Together for Success” school.

After finishing the school, its graduates, with the support of IOM, implement their own social projects and activities to raise awareness of youth and other population groups on socially important issues.

Organizers: Representation of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ukraine, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
