Police of Lviv region conducted career guidance events for high school students
The law enforcement officers introduce students to the conditions of admission to institutions with specific learning conditions, and also talk about the advantages and prospects of service in the National Police.
Career guidance events for students of Lviv schools
On April 4, employees of the recruitment organization sector of the HR department of the Lviv police conducted career guidance events for students of grades 8–11 of Lviv secondary schools No. 1 and No. 98.
The police provided detailed information to the senior students about the conditions of admission, the specifics of educational programs, and the training of cadets in higher education institutions of the MIA system.
“Specialized universities provide free education and accommodation, scholarship support. The acquired specialties allow graduates to work in such units of the National Police as pre-trial investigation, criminal police, and others,” said senior inspector with special assignments of the recruitment organization sector, police major Vira Kovts.
The law enforcement officers also told students about the opportunities for admission to MIA system lyceums, where students receive unique professional training that includes legal and special disciplines, advanced tactical-special, firearms, and physical training.
Demonstration of equipment and safety briefing
After the meeting with the representatives of the HR service, special purpose police battalion fighters visited the students. They demonstrated samples of modern equipment, special tools, and ammunition at the disposal of law enforcement officers.
Also, specialists of the explosive engineering service of the Lviv police conducted a briefing on safety rules when detecting explosive objects. The students learned how to act when encountering objects that may pose a threat to life and health.
The events concluded with a performance by the Lviv police cynologists, who introduced students to service dogs: a Labrador named Antei and Belgian Shepherds Alpha and Laura. The officers shared their experience in training canines and taught children the basics of handling dogs and basic commands.
