Today, December 22, in the scientific library of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University, the Lviv Regional Council awarded teachers and employees of higher educational institutions and vocational and technical education institutions of Lviv Oblast, who today defend the independence and integrity of Ukraine.
The head of the Lviv Regional Council, Iryna Hrymak, thanked the educators who defend the state on the front lines, for their strength of spirit, for their indomitability.
“Educators are those people who cannot hold a machine gun in their hands, because their weapon is knowledge, they educate, invest their heart and soul in our future – our children. But this year changed the lives of most Ukrainians, and some of the employees of educational institutions put on military uniforms, they fight so that our children live in a free, strong, European Ukrainian state that will never stand on its knees. And it will be a prosperous, educated and invincible country among the free countries of the world,” said Iryna Hrymak.
The head of the Commission for Education, Science and Innovation, Ivanna Gerus, emphasized that it is necessary to remember and support those who are currently fighting and defending Ukraine.
“A low bow to you, because you are a great example for all of us. Thank you to the educators who helped internally displaced persons, engaged in volunteering, and provided a reliable rear. I believe that our Ukrainian education will be one of the best, because together we know what needs to be done for this,” said Ivanna Gerus.
After that, the children-children passed the Bethlehem flame of peace to those present and sang songs.
