The “Live Waiting” project is starting in Chervonohrad

Many Ukrainian servicemen are considered missing, while most of them are alive and in captivity. While the search for defenders continues, their relatives have no idea what happened to their father, son, brother or husband for weeks, months.

That is why the project “Living Waiting” is being launched for the families of the missing in Chervonohrad Oblast.

Public organization “METTA” with the support of Ukrainian-Swiss Mental health for Ukraine “Mental health for Ukraine” is launching the project “Living waiting”. The main purpose of which is to provide psychological support and support to the families of persons who went missing during the full-scale invasion. Mutual aid groups operate on a peer-to-peer basis. The effectiveness of the groups will be based on the principle “by helping others, you help yourself.”

Mutual aid groups consist of a psychologist, volunteers and close relatives of the missing. Facilitators from the Chervonograd community, who passed the first stage of training, were relatives of the missing, volunteers, and a psychologist.
