On the basis of the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction, a unique all-wheel drive buggy “GURKIT” was developed, which has no analogues. As early as next week, this all-terrain vehicle will be used by the military on the front lines.
The students have already made buggies that are now used at the front, but “GURKIT” is a better and more advanced version, so there is only one copy so far. Students and teachers of the school worked on the creation of this car for about 7 months.
“The development idea started with the need to help the military at the front. We converted the first buggies from sports models to ones that will be more convenient on the front line. Last year, we developed a homemade model of the Tyrex buggies, which are still performing combat missions. And “GURKIT” is a vehicle that is an even more improved version of the previous one, because it takes into account all the needs of the military, who test various vehicles in battle.
The uniqueness of this design is that the engine in the buggy is located in the middle. That is, the undercarriage is perfectly unloaded here, and this greatly affects the passability of the vehicle. Also, this buggy is a three-seater, and one seat can be completely folded, so that it is convenient to transport an injured person if necessary. There is a convenient compartment for various weapons and two points for fixing machine guns,” said Taras Yanush, a student of the school and one of the developers of the unique buggy “GURKIT”.
