Immigrants no longer live in Lviv schools

IDPs no longer live in the schools of the Lviv community. They were relocated to other locations to prepare educational institutions for the new full-time academic year

As reported in the education department of the Lviv City Council, during the summer, new places of residence were sought for the displaced people who lived in city schools. As of August, all educational institutions have already been released for offline learning.

Now, in institutions, where necessary, repair work of shelters is being carried out, the necessary equipment is being purchased, because the key criterion for starting the full-time educational process is the safety of children.

We will remind you that since the beginning of hostilities, Lviv became the main center for the stay and accommodation of internally displaced persons who were looking for temporary (before going abroad) or permanent shelter in a safe place. Since February 24, more than 5 million people passed through Lviv, about 2 million stayed here for more than 2.5 months, 200 thousand found shelter here and stayed to live. At the beginning of the war, more than 500 communal institutions of the city became a shelter for displaced persons.
