A model of the European Parliament was held for students in Lviv

The visit was organized by the large organization “Young Diplomacy Center” in partnership with the social-cultural initiative “Fox Bureau” and in support of the Lviv Regional Council.

Uchora, 18 November, near the walls of the great session hall of the Lviv region there was a model of the European Parliament.

At the local level, there were the attendant ceremonial staff of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Taras Hren, and the intercessor of the dean of the Faculty of International Relations of the Lviv National Ivan Franko University, Mikhailo Mikievich.

“I see you in this hall as future parliamentarians, as people who will make decisions, in which the share of people will lie. I ask you to remember in advance that whatever decision you make, it is not abstract, it may be people-oriented. Perhaps we need to study these processes from the standpoint of being a human being. Perhaps we are too focused on the results, without thinking about the costs at which this result is achieved. Always remember the price. Whenever you make a decision, recognize your people first. Everything will be fine for you, because you are already here, everything will be fine for you, because you are not afraid to try. None of your life will survive, not your victories, not your defeats – not your life. I really want you to come, because our future will come,” Taras Gren said.

At the model of the European Parliament, the participants discussed the topic of expanding the EU’s inclusion to the fullness of the regions of the Balkan region and a united Europe, and followed the nutrition of opportunities and difficulties in the hour of European integration of great importance their countries.

“We are actively working on modeling, discussions, and debates in order to give international students the opportunity to practically learn how to establish how to handle situations in real situations and how to conduct a dialogue among themselves. We also encourage you to upgrade your language and diplomatic skills. Let’s not forget about the speeches on the history of international trade, international law, economics and other topics,” noted Vitaly Nesteruk, head of the Committee on Politics and International Trade of the State Organization “Center “Young Diplomacy”.

In the future, students will not be able to imagine themselves in the role of a member of the European Parliament, having the opportunity to discuss current issues related to the European Union.

Modeling the functioning of international and Ukrainian institutions opens up the opportunity for students and all interested individuals to become involved in the work of these institutions, having learned the principles of their activities in minds that are close to real ones.
