They want to create training centers on the basis of several Lviv schools for the qualitative study of military affairs and pre-medical care.
As of now, more than 10,000 students study in the 10th and 11th grades of Lviv. The “Defense of Ukraine” lessons take place 6 times a month and the educational process is divided for boys and girls. Due to the lack of specialists for high-quality teaching of the subject, a small number of practical classes and weak material and technical support, the approach to studying defense and first aid wants to change. That is why they intend to create training centers in Lviv.
They will include:
– 7 hours of study per month for boys and girls;
– involvement of professional military personnel;
– modern medical and military material support;
– access for all residents;
– 72- and 108-hour training and field meetings.
“We concentrate our resources in several support bases. This will make it easier to find specialists to conduct appropriate training. With a high-quality material base and good specialists, children will receive quality education. It is about both military training and pre-medical assistance,” says Andriy Zakaliuk, head of the Lviv Education Department.
It is tentatively planned that training centers will be opened on the basis of those schools with high-quality shooting range facilities and well-developed sports infrastructure.
