The project was implemented at the initiative of Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of Lviv OVA. It was implemented thanks to the agreement of the Lviv and Donetsk regional military administrations.
A few days ago, the final 5th shift of the summer vacation of students of educational institutions of the Donetsk region in Sokal of the Chervonograd district as part of the joint educational project “Know Lviv Oblast” ended.
As Oleg Paska, director of the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv OVA, said, children from Donetsk region had the opportunity to take a break from the horrors of war. The project was implemented thanks to the support of Lviv OVA and benefactors.
“The joint, pleasant project of Lviv Oblast and Donetsk Oblast has come to an end. Children from Donetsk region had the opportunity to rest a little with us from the horrors of war, which they see near their homes and schools. We tried our best. We ventured into this project together with Tatyana Sidasheva, my colleague from Donetsk OVA, although there were no funds for it. But there was a great common desire to do something nice for children! Later, funds were also found – charitable organizations helped and we received a lot of support from the regional budget, according to the order of Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv OVA!” – said Oleg Paska.
The project “Get to know Lviv Oblast” provided an opportunity for the student youth of Donetsk Oblast to show their abilities, find new friends, and see the landscapes of Lviv Oblast, the Department of Education and Science of Donetsk Oblast noted.
A total of 760 students of general secondary education institutions of the Donetsk region of the middle and older age groups who are in the territory of the region, children of IDPs from the Donetsk region, rested in Sokal during the summer vacation. 85 of them are from the families of servicemen and fallen Heroes.
“On the last day, the teachers of the Donetsk Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center held game and entertainment programs for children: quest-photo hunt “Look city Socal”, final gala concert, dance flash mob, master classes on craft making, classes at a sports school.
In order to thank the adults for their care and the time spent interestingly, the children held contests for the organizing committee and accompanying persons, presented their own hearts to the staff of the Sokal Sanatorium School, who during the shift provided comfort and order, fed them tasty and balanced food, and helped in recovery and treatment,” said the Department of Education and Science of Donetsk Oblast.
It should be noted that such a project was implemented for the first time.
