Wi-Fi is being installed in the shelters of schools in Lviv

Four Lviv IT companies and the Lviv IT Cluster participated in the purchase of equipment to provide Wi-Fi in shelters. As part of this initiative, more than 20 educational institutions have already been equipped with internet connection points in shelters.

To ensure communication during an air alert, Wi-Fi routers are installed in city educational institutions. LKP “City Center of Information Technologies” together with providers ensures their installation and configuration. 4 Lviv IT companies participated in the purchase of equipment: Lionwood.software, Infopulse Ukraine, Qubstudio and EPAM Ukraine, as well as Lviv IT Cluster.

“During an air raid, our students are in shelters, and it is very important for parents to be in touch with their children. That’s why our company joined the purchase of routers in the shelter,” says Yuriy Kaminovskyi, COO of Lionwood.software.

“Despite the fact that this year, among the priorities of our company was the support of projects related to the defense of the country, we decided that the education of children is also an important aspect of the development of our state. Because it is these children who will protect us in the future,” comments Ivan Korzhov, Country Manager of Infopulse Ukraine.

Gradually, all school shelters in the community will be equipped with Wi-Fi routers.

“We are grateful to the IT companies for joining this initiative and helping with the provision of the necessary equipment,” adds Olena Gunko, head of the information technology department of the Lviv City Council.
