In Lviv, they continue the tradition of congratulating long-lived residents of the city who have celebrated 100 years or more. Andriy Kovalskyi, a veteran of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, celebrated his birthday: he turned 101 years old.

Representatives of the Department of Social Protection of the Lviv City Council visited Mr. Andrii and congratulated him on behalf of the Lviv community and handed him material assistance in the amount of 5 thousand hryvnias.

In general, three residents of Lviv have an important anniversary in November. In addition to Andriy Andreyovych, Ksenia Savitska will celebrate her birthday this month: on November 21, she will be 102 years old. Tetyana Filippova also celebrated her 102nd birthday on November 1.

It should be noted that all the anniversaries are congratulated by representatives of the city authorities on behalf of the community, as every year. Traditionally, those long-lived people who celebrate a hundred years are given one-time financial assistance from the budget in the amount of 5 thousand hryvnias, a commemorative coin and a congratulatory letter on behalf of the city mayor. All those who celebrate 101 years or more – 5 thousand hryvnias The tradition of congratulating long-lived people in Lviv has existed for 15 years. In general, in 2023, 315,000 hryvnias have been allocated in the budget for the payment of one-time benefits for long-term residents of Lviv.
