The Sokal City Territorial Community invites you to celebrate Vyshyvanka Day on May 15, 2025.
In the adult library at 11:00 AM, there will be an opening of an embroidery exhibition and a joint prayer for Ukraine. The exhibition will include Vyshyvankas of the Heroes of the Sokal Territorial Community and an exposition of antique Vyshyvankas. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, an ‘Open Microphone’ event will feature readings of patriotic poems, songs, and heroic-patriotic compositions by students of Sokal city schools.
In the children’s library at 12:00 PM, a folk journey called ‘The Secrets of Your Vyshyvanka’ and a workshop ‘Ornaments that Make History’ will commence.
The event is organized by the Department of Culture and the Department of Education of the Sokal City Council, the Municipal Institution “People’s House of Sokal”, the Municipal Institution “Public Library of Sokal City Council” with the support of the Charitable Foundation “New Breath” and other cultural institutions.
The embroidery exhibition will last from May 15 to May 25.
