In Drohobychynna, large families raising four or more children were congratulated on St. Nicholas’ Day

In the Drohobytsk community, they started handing out holiday packages to families in need of help and support

Thus, on November 30, at the initiative of the leadership of Drohobych and the department of family and youth, a meeting was held in the session hall of the city council with families of the community who raise four or more children under the age of 18.

102 families were invited to an atmospheric meeting on the occasion of the approach of St. Nicholas. Since this year the day of Nicholas the Wonderworker is celebrated according to the new calendar on December 6, the presentation of sweet packages for children has shifted in time.

The event began with greetings. Community leader Taras Kuchma together with head of the family and youth department Oleksandra Pashko wished everyone present peace, God’s protection and harmony in families.

Starting today, we deliver and deliver relief packages and sweets to families who need them the most. Your families are special – they are large, because you raise four or more children. Thank you for instilling in your children love for their native land and raising true patriots of Ukraine. We want to charge you with the positive mood of the approaching holidays from today. Believe in a miracle, believe in our victory and surround the people closest to you with warmth, Taras Kuchma addressed the audience.

In parallel, with the presentation of packages, Christmas compositions performed by creative children of the city were played for all present. In particular, Veronika Matsygin, a music student of V. Barvinsky Vocational College, performed I. Fedyshyn’s songs “My Christmas Carol” and “The First Snow Fallen”. Pupils of children’s music school No. 1 performed the carol “Oh, who, who loves Nicholas” – head Nadiya Letnyanka.

In addition, packages of support and sweets for children will be distributed to all needy families and families of soldiers on the occasion of St. Nicholas’s Day in Drohobych.
