On 11 June, the world celebrates International Game Day. Drohobych also joins this interesting holiday. Tomorrow, the city will host a fun-filled holiday for all children with the support of The LEGO Foundation.
According to Oleksandra Pashko, Head of the Family and Youth Department of the Drohobych City Council, the foundation managed to receive bright LEGO sets that will become good friends for the children of the Drohobych community in the summer and during the holidays.
In Drohobych, the celebration of the International Day of the Game is scheduled for 11:00 am on Rynok Square, provided the weather is sunny. If it rains, the celebration will take place in the premises of Lyceum №3 named after V. Chornovil. There will be games, fun, gifts and sweets for the most active participants.
In addition, similar events will be held in the neighbourhoods of Sambirska, Hrushevskoho and Konovaltsia streets over the next two weeks. They will be announced additionally.
In general, the International Day of Play aims to remind parents and children to forget about gadgets for at least a day, step away from screens, switch off computers and spend time playing active games outdoors.
