From the resort valley to the top of the park: Truskavets invites you to a new tour

The Museum of the Truskavets Resort City has developed a walking tour “When the Soul Needs Rest: From the Spa Valley to the Top of the Park.”

During the trip, you can walk from Villa Sariush through the entire resort park to the Yuzia spring. Travelers are accompanied by historical characters of Truskavets. Among them are Mrs. Rozvadovska, the owner of the Villa Sariush, which houses the Truskavets Museum (museum director Halyna Koval). There is also Sofia from Truskavets (museum researcher Mariia Kuryshchuk), who was loved by Archduke Carl Ludwig, and Countess Badeni (museum curator Olha Fedynyak), who was treated at the resort and in gratitude for her improved health installed a statue of the Mother of God in the resort park.

The character of Dr. Zenon Pelchar, the owner of the villas “Sofia” and “Under the Mother of God,” is played by the famous guide Ihor Kenik. He served in the State Special Transport Service and later in the 68th Ranger Brigade. After being wounded, he is undergoing rehabilitation in Truskavets. “I am a simple infantry soldier. While defending my homeland, I received a number of shrapnel wounds, hearing loss, and concussion. He was treated in Dnipro, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Lviv, transferred to a military sanatorium in Truskavets, where he underwent two operations, and the third operation was performed at Lychakivska Hospital in Lviv. Now I am undergoing treatment, taking a vacation and undergoing a preliminary medical examination. I am grateful for the invitation to the tour, which helps me to recover morally,” says Ihor Kenik.

According to the museum’s director Halyna Koval, the museum received the costumes for the tour from the Ternopil City Council’s Community Development Department through a grant for this good, interesting and promotional cause. “Rest in the resort park, recreation of the body and soul, obtaining new and interesting information about the history of Truskavets – all this you can get by traveling with us,” said Ms. Koval.

The cost of the tour is 2000 UAH or in another way: 200 UAH per person, group of at least 10 people.
