15 million 190 thousand 600 hryvnias were allocated from the city budget of the Sokal city territorial community in 2023 for the implementation of the Program for the Assistance of Material and Technical Support of Military Units of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

These funds are directed to the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the purchase of: property of various services; quadcopters (drones) and their components, ground control stations, repeaters; Mavic 3T quadcopters and accessories; multi-rotor drones; UAV Mavic 3 fly more combo; Mavic 3 classic UAV and other equipment.
Family members of servicemen and combatants are not left out. In 2023, from the city budget:
– 60 family members of servicemen who died (died) defending Ukraine were paid one-time benefits in the amount of UAH 197.5 thousand.
– 21 families of servicemen who were captured or went missing. a one-time benefit in the amount of UAH 105,000 was paid.
-decent burial of Heroes was ensured and financial assistance was provided to 14 families of servicemen who died defending Ukraine, in the total amount of UAH 210,000.
– support was provided to 3 families of deceased servicemen who were demobilized from military service, in the total amount of UAH 30,000.
– one-time assistance was provided to 311 combatants, persons with disabilities as a result of the war, who took a direct part in ensuring the defense of Ukraine, in the total amount of UAH 361,000.
– one-time assistance was provided to 86 servicemen who were injured in the total amount of UAH 610,000.
At the expense of the regional budget, assistance was provided to 41 persons with disabilities as a result of the war and to the families of fallen servicemen in the amount of UAH 1,209.5 thousand.
A total of UAH 2,723,000 was provided to servicemen and their families from the local and regional budgets in 2023.
The decision of the Sokal City Council adopted a decision on additional social guarantees for children of mobilized military personnel regarding their free meals in preschool and general educational institutions of the Sokal City Territorial Community, for which an additional amount of UAH 2.9 million was allocated from the local budget.
