During January 7-8, a significant deterioration of weather conditions is observed in Drohobych region: snow and a decrease in temperature. In view of this, the municipal services of the city worked in enhanced mode all weekend.
As Volodymyr Suda, head of the “SMU” KP, reported, 6 units of equipment were involved in clearing the city’s roads on Sunday, January 7. In particular, three sand throwers, an excavator, an MTZ with a dump truck, a tractor with a dump truck. From the staff of the communal institution, 32 cleaners put order on the streets of the city.
Snow removal equipment not only cleared city roads and sprinkled them with a de-icing mixture, but also cleaned sidewalks and pedestrian areas. They were also cleaned of snow and intensively sprinkled with a sand-salt mixture during the weekend.
Our service coped with the snowfall and worsening weather conditions that were observed during this weekend in Drohobych region. We have not received any complaints about poorly cleared roads or roads being impassable. Roads were cleaned 24/7, pedestrian areas were also cleared and sprinkled to prevent ice. The employees of KP “SMU” continue to work on eliminating the consequences of the snowfall, – Volodymyr Suda added.
In addition, the Municipal Administration Service once again called on drivers not to park vehicles in the places where snow removal equipment is working and thereby not to obstruct its work.
