The city will also provide compensation vouchers to two entrepreneurs whose buildings were also destroyed and help the State Research and Control Institute of Veterinary Preparations and Feed Additives to inspect and restore the destroyed building. This was discussed today at an extraordinary meeting of the city’s emergency response committee on the consequences of Russia’s night attack on the Lviv community.

“As a result of the night attack on Lviv, 1 apartment building and 15 private houses were damaged in Malekhiv. More than 105 windows were smashed and the front door was damaged. The building of the research institute of veterinary drugs at 11 Donetska Street in Lviv was also destroyed.

Therefore, today, starting at 15:00, the village of Malekhiv and the city of Dubliany will start accepting documents from residents to receive compensation from the city for damaged windows and doors. The compensation for one window is up to UAH 12 thousand, and for the door to an apartment or house – up to UAH 8 thousand.

Two entrepreneurs were also affected, as part of their property was destroyed. They will be able to receive compensation vouchers worth up to UAH 500,000.

In addition, we will help the scientific institute,” said Andriy Moskalenko, First Deputy Mayor of Lviv and Head of the City Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations.

According to the State Research and Control Institute of Veterinary Preparations and Feed Additives, none of the institution’s employees were injured and the institute’s archive remained intact.

“Our institute is the only one that registers all veterinary medicines coming from all over the world. The shelling damaged one of our buildings, destroying equipment and microscopes. Now we need to remove the equipment that has survived from the damaged building and start restoration work as soon as possible. The area of the building is more than 800 m2, and there were 4 laboratories there,” explained the institute’s representatives.

Applications for compensation for damaged windows and doors will be accepted from 15:00 at the ASC in Dubliany, 4 Shevchenko Street, as well as at the community office in Malekhiv, 6 Ivasyuka Street.
