There will be no first spring mowing of grass in Lviv
This year, the first spring mowing of grass on city lawns, which usually took place in April, will not be held in Lviv. As a result, city streets will become greener, and district administrations will be able to save funds that are provided for the maintenance of green areas.
This was reported in the Lviv City Council.
“The first spring mowing of the grass, which was held annually in April, will not be held this year, in order to save money.
However, there is no doubt that there are lawns, for example on Svobody Avenue, and in other areas of the city, which were artificially created and require high-quality care, in particular, periodic mowing. After all, the cessation of mowing leads to the deterioration of their quality. And later, for recovery, significant costs, in particular financial, will be required. Also, their decorativeness and aesthetic appearance will be lost,” the city hall explains.
We will remind you that last year in Lviv, in comparison with previous years, grass mowing on lawns was reduced, namely mowing was not carried out in hot weather, and the mowing height was increased.
