Lviv region is among the three leaders in terms of readiness to implement the Address Register

45 communities in the region have completed all stages of training and carried out test verification of addresses.

The Unified State Register of Addresses is one of the new basic state registers aimed at streamlining all available information and becoming the only reliable source of address data: each street, house, and settlement will receive a unique, unchangeable identifier.

Address information is the second most commonly used information in legally important documents, and its inaccuracy has many negative consequences for citizens, businesses, local governments and the state. The creation of a unified register will help solve problems with property registration, errors in the calculation of subsidies, difficulties in the provision of social services, reduce the risks of property fraud, and make it easier to provide administrative services.

Ukraine is currently in the process of training local community specialists to prepare them to fill the address register with data after the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution “Some issues of implementing a pilot project to create a Unified State Register of Administrative and Territorial Units and Territories of Territorial Communities, a Unified State Register of Addresses, a Register of Buildings and Structures as part of the Unified State Electronic System in the Construction Sector” comes into force.

Interim analysis shows that 45 out of 73 communities in Lviv Oblast have completed the training. This is the third highest figure in Ukraine after Kherson and Luhansk oblasts. The number of hromadas in the region connected to the EDESSB test environment (address part) is 66.
