Another 1,515 FPV drones, which were purchased with the funds of the Lviv community, will help our defenders on the front lines. Today, they were handed over to various units of the Airborne Assault Forces, which are defending our country from the Russian aggressor.
UAH 24.4 million was allocated from the city budget for the purchase of this batch of drones within the framework of the “Lion’s Revenge” initiative. And last week, the city directed UAH 16 million to help the defenders (purchase of drones and subvention for military units)
In general, in January-March 2024, Lviv supported the army for almost UAH 195 million. And in the budget of the Lviv MTG for 2024, only UAH 1 billion is provided for the purchase of equipment and necessary means for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
We will remind you that Lviv constantly allocates funds for the defense capability and support of the military, which protects Ukraine from the Russian invaders. According to the city’s support program for the Armed Forces, at the request of military brigades and units, the city buys what is urgently needed on the front lines today, or provides subventions for it. These are drones, cars, walkie-talkies, various specialized technical things. In fact, the City Hall receives several requests for such assistance every day.
