Lviv RMA Leads in Web Accessibility of Government Sites in 2024

Lviv RMA Achieves High Results in Web Accessibility

The Lviv Regional Military Administration (RMA) has become one of the leaders in Ukraine in terms of accessibility of government websites in 2024, scoring the maximum 10 out of 10 points possible.

Improvements for User Convenience

According to Oleksandr Kulepin, Deputy Head of the Lviv RMA, the regional administration and two other government bodies in Ukraine achieved the top position for web accessibility. “It’s not just about numbers – it’s a concrete step towards a more open and user-friendly digital space. Government sites are not only about services, but also about opportunities, information, and equal access. Web accessibility ensures that every Ukrainian, regardless of physical abilities, can quickly obtain necessary information, use services, and be included in social dialogue,” emphasized Oleksandr Kulepin.

To achieve such results, last year, the Lviv RMA improved text contrast to make the site more convenient for individuals with visual impairments, added alternative text for all images, which greatly improves the site’s usability for blind people, and more.
