Lviv OVA will send aid to Kherson region

The head of the Lviv OVA also appealed to everyone who is in the territories affected by the blow-up of the HPP.

Maksym Kozytskyi reported what aid will be transferred from Lviv region to Kherson region, and emphasized that in our region they will provide shelter, food, clothing, psychological and other assistance to people who live in the affected areas and are unsure whether they have somewhere to go.

“As of now, 29 settlements have been flooded in the Kherson region. Overnight, the water in the regional center rose by 1 meter, experts predict that the situation may worsen, but people do not want to evacuate and are ready to stay in the open – with the hope that the water level will drop.

To support the locals, tomorrow we will send a truck with help from our region.

The issue of drinking water is acute in the Kherson region, we have received reports that some have even started speculating on this, so we will hand over 700 sets of water purification equipment. In addition, we will send 10 heat guns, with the help of which people will be able to quickly dry the premises where the water will go down.

All services and shelters are on alert in the Lviv region, but so far not a single evacuation train has arrived in our region with people affected by the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP, only a few families have come in their own vehicles.

If my post is read by people who live in the affected areas and are hesitating whether they have somewhere to go, know that Lviv Oblast is ready to provide you with a roof over your head, food, clothing, psychological and other help. To do this, when you arrive in our region, call 112 or contact our volunteers at the Main Railway Station in Lviv (you can recognize them by their blue vests). We are together. We will overcome everything,” said Maksym Kozytskyi.
