By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny, 41-year-old colonel, Hero of Ukraine Denys Chayuk, has been appointed the head of the Lviv Regional Territorial Center for Manpower and Social Support (TCC and SP). On Monday, September 4, the new manager was introduced to the team.
Denis Chayuk was introduced to his new position in Lviv by Yuriy Kolos, the acting commander of the “West” OC. The presentation was attended by heads of all district TCCs and joint ventures.
41-year-old colonel Denys Chayuk held the post of deputy commander of the Transcarpathian 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. During the anti-terrorist operation, he participated in the battles for Luhansk Airport and Debaltseve.
During the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, together with his soldiers, he restrained the advance of Russian troops in Zaporizhzhia, destroying a large number of enemy equipment and occupiers. In March 2022, during the liberation of the village of Malynivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, he was wounded in the leg.
In April 2022, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine by presidential decree.
Until now, the Lviv Regional TCC (formerly the Regional Military Committee) has been managed intermittently since 2017 by 47-year-old Oleksandr Tishchenko, who is a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council from “Servant of the People”. He lost his position in August of this year after the decision of the National Security Council to dismiss the heads of all regional TCCs.
