“In the face of full-scale war, reforestation has become even more important to our awareness and our resilience. When we see what the occupiers are leaving behind, what is our land after their scorched earth tactics, there is sadness and despair. Planting seedlings, we immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the forest, we come to understand that life goes on. And it is in our power to contribute to this.
Thank you for this priority and the unity of Ukrainians around an important mission to the President of Ukraine within the framework of the “Green Ukraine” initiative, – noted Yuriy Buchko.
In total, 48,800 trees were planted on an area of 8.8 ha in the region today as part of the implementation of the President’s environmental initiative “Green Country”.
We would like to remind you that within the framework of the 2023 spring work on the creation of forests, the foresters of the branches of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” in the Lviv region planted almost 6 million trees.
