Lviv has a programme of partial compensation for the purchase of power generators and equipment for solar power plants.
By using this programme to prepare their homes for the winter, residents can achieve energy independence of the building, including ensuring that cold water is supplied to all floors, the lift is working, and there is lighting in common areas, etc.
According to the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council, during the Programme, the Lviv City Hall has already provided compensation for 136 generators purchased by residents, and another 6 applications have been approved. Applications for compensation for solar panels, an inverter and batteries have also been received.
“Before becoming a participant in the programme, the residents of the house jointly decide to purchase a generator or solar panels and other equipment for their house. Then they buy the equipment, and then submit all the necessary documents to receive partial compensation from the city.
The applications we received for participation in the Programme mean that residents have already purchased this equipment, and now the city can compensate for its partial cost, in accordance with the terms set out in the Programme,” says the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council.
The department notes that residents submit documents for compensation to district administrations. Committees that review these applications then visit the site and check whether the equipment has actually been purchased.
