According to the Department of Housing and Infrastructure, in accordance with the city Program for the repair of balconies in buildings that are not monuments of architecture, with the co-financing of the city council and residents, it has already been possible to restore 43 emergency balconies.
And minor work remains to be done on 21 balconies.
Therefore, as of now, with the co-financing of the city council and residents, 34 individual and 9 public balconies have already been restored. And on 21 balconies – 19 individual and 2 for general use – there are still minor works that are needed to complete the positive air temperature. In particular, the balconies on the following streets have already been repaired: Dzherelna, Kutova, Marka Vovchka, Sheptytskyi, Zavodska, Yablonska, Gypsova, Zhovkivska, Dublyanska, Sheptytskih. 4 million 162 thousand UAH were spent on the repair of these balconies from the city budget.
On average, the repair of one individual balcony for residents costs UAH 17,000, and the repair of a public balcony costs UAH 27,000. This is 20% of the cost, and the remaining 80% is paid by the city. By the way, the share of residents in the cost of repairing a common balcony is shared among all residents who use this balcony.
“Last year, a program was approved in Lviv, within the framework of which, under the terms of co-financing, repairs to the balcony can be carried out. To use this program, it is necessary to submit an application, an expert opinion that the balcony needs repair, documents for the ownership of the apartment, and a technical passport to the district administration or through the Tsnap. Then the district administration will process this application and then conclude an agreement with the appropriate firm that can carry out these works. Deals are published on Prozorro.
As of now, we have 184 applications from residents about their willingness to participate in co-financing the repair of balconies in their apartments. Of these, 109 appeals already have a technical opinion on the condition of the balcony structures, which is necessary for carrying out work,” the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the LMR says.
We will remind you that this year in Lviv, the condition of balconies in multi-apartment residential buildings was checked. The commissions inspected 5,448 buildings, including 58,535 individual balconies and 7,148 public balconies.
Owners of individual balconies in buildings that are not architectural monuments in poor condition can apply for a special program to support co-owners of apartment buildings in carrying out urgent or capital repairs, reconstruction, repair and restoration works of common property in apartment buildings of Lviv MTG. The repair of the balcony will be co-financed: 80% will be paid by the city, and 20% by the resident. Learn more about co-financing programs here.
