21 km of longitudinal markings have already been renewed on Lviv roads

Road markings are being renewed in Lviv. As explained by the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council, road markings are erased throughout the year, so for the safety of drivers and pedestrians, they are renewed every spring.

In total, 21 km of longitudinal markings have already been updated in all districts of the city.

“As early as last month, district administrations started working on road markings. This is done either with special paints or with cold or hot plastic, which must dry quickly so as not to block traffic for a long time.

As of now, 21 km of longitudinal markings and 5,300 m2 of pedestrian crossing markings have been restored. The largest amount of longitudinal markings – approximately 8 km – has been restored in Zaliznychnyi district of Lviv, and approximately 6 km – in Shevchenkivskyi district. The works are ongoing.

The importance of these works is that the safety of drivers and pedestrians depends on them,” explains the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council.

In addition, parking spaces for vehicles with disabilities are marked in all districts of the city, and road signs are cleaned and repaired.
