In Drohobych, in the Lviv region, test start-ups of a new solid fuel boiler house are underway.

This is reported by the Voice of Sokalshchyna with reference to the message of the city council of Drohobych.

It will make it possible to reduce gas consumption by 20% already this season.

In Drohobych, implementation of the second phase of the project to replace gas with alternative fuels is ongoing.

Investor, co-owner of the company “Alterenergo zadam” Andrii Beliy came to the opening of the boiler house. The company’s specialists helped KP “Drohobychteploenergo” to carry out commissioning works.

Andriy Beliy says that the boiler house is equipped with modern domestic equipment, which is not inferior to foreign equipment.

“This makes it possible to service it here on site. There is no need to call specialists for adjustment, diagnosis or replacement of any part from abroad. One investor is not enough for such a project, so we work in close cooperation with the city council, KP “Drohobychteploenergo” and another partner who can supply us with raw materials,” the investor says.

According to the director of KP “Drohobychteploenergo” Ihor Khomyak, the new boiler house will reduce gas consumption by 20%. It will be replaced by alternative types of fuel – wood chips and waste from the agricultural sector.

“Thanks to the implementation of this project, we will be able to replace 20% of gas with alternative fuel right now and thus reduce gas consumption, since the state is setting limits and the supply of gas has already been reduced by another 10%. In addition, the consumer will receive a 10% lower price. The plans include equipment for one more boiler house in Stebnik, which will collectively allow us to replace gas with alternative fuel up to 50%,” says the director of Drohobychteploenergo.

During the coming week, the boiler room will continue to operate in test mode.
